Inhumans

Inhumans SDCC 2017 Round Table: Isabelle Cornish And Iwan Rheon

At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con we got the chance to sit down and interview the cast and crew behind Inhumans. This is our interview with Isabelle Cornish (Crystal) and Iwan Rheon (Maximus) talking about the upcoming project from Marvel Television and IMAX.

Rheon spoke briefly about why Maximus has no powers and how he goes about dealing with that struggle. Typically those who gain no powers from Terragenesis are in the lowest positions of society, but because Maximus is the brother of the King, Black Bolt (Anson Mount), he gets to stay. But “he knows the people at the low end of society”, Rheon mentions.

Rheon also spoke about Maximus’ relationship with Medusa and he talks about how, “they were friends when they were younger” and he became a loner after she left him for Black Bolt.

Cornish was asked about how it feels to be joining the well-established Marvel family with Inhumans. She said she’d like to make the character stand on her own and be a role model. And then she jokingly says how fun it would be to have a one giant show crossover between Inhumans and Agents of SHIELD.
When asked what their favorite aspects of production were Cornish responded, “Jumping into the water at the end of the day” and Rheon replied, “Yeah, it wasn’t a bad place to shoot, I’ve been in worse” alluding to the frozen landscapes of Northern Ireland where he filmed Game of Thrones. Rheon also mentioned that “Maximus is a lot of talking, as you’ll discover. He likes the sound of his own voice.”
Premiering first in IMAX on September 1 and then on ABC on September 29, Inhumans stars Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Ken Leung as Karnak, Ellen Woglom as Louise, Sonya Balmores as Auran, and Mike Moh as Triton.
