Not too long ago, some images from the set of Avengers: Infinity War made their way online which featured Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Peaky Blinders, The Infiltrator) in a full motion capture suit. While we’ve yet to get any word who the Irish actor will be playing, Lawlor has now confirmed his role in the upcoming Marvel Studios film while speaking with Dublin Live:
“I am. But it’s like I’m one of those ones where you go into a sentence to say something about it and hope you have a job at the end of the sentence. You sign so many documents and waivers and people ask you about it and you have to give the generic and boring ‘I can’t say too much about it’. But I am doing it and it’s really amazing and an amazing thing to be part of.”
Current speculation is that the actor will be playing Ebony Maw, a member of Thanos’ Black Order. Lawlor additionally added that with he really hadn’t been able to speak about his role before because with “social media there’s so much potential for leaks so (Marvel) understandably want to micro-manage things and make sure it goes out when they are ready.” Let us know what you think about the addition of Lawlor and who you think (or hope) he’s playing in the comments section below.
