The team at Gazillion Entertainment enjoys any chance to tie in its Marvel Heroes content with current events unfolding within the pages of Marvel Comics. This time around, the developers are shining a spotlight on the recent Venomverse event. With Venomverse #1 hitting comic book shelves, Marvel Heroes Omega is getting a playable version of the Lethal Protector himself, Venom.
Venom becomes the 42nd playable character in the Marvel Heroes franchise, which has allowed players to take control of both heroes and villains alike. With the Eddie Brock version of Venom constantly towing that line, he becomes a natural fit for the Marvel Universe MMORPG. Venom was previously a part of the game as a villain lurking the streets, randomly spawning in Midtown Patrol along with other members of Spider-Man’s rogues gallery.
There are a few catches this time around, however. It does not appear that Venom will show up as a drop. He must be purchased through the Marvel Heroes Omega Venom Pack, available on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Marketplace. The pack will include Venom, two XP boosts, two Marvelous Loot Boxes, and an alternate Anti-Venom skin. It also doesn’t look like PC users will be a part of this deal, as Venom will only be available to the Marvel Heroes Omega console version.
On top of all of that, Venom will only be around for a limited time. He’ll only be available through Thursday, September 28, at which point Venom and his bundles go away for the foreseeable future. The Marvel Heroes Omega Venom Pack is currently priced at $19.99.
