Scott Haze (Thank You For Your Service) is the latest actor to possibly join the upcoming Sony-Marvel film Venom. The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the actor is currently in talks to join the Tom Hardy picture.
No details were revealed about his character. The film will reportedly feature Cletus Kasady a.k.a. Carnage as the main antagonist. Could Haze, should he sign on, be playing the big bad? In recent news, Reid Scott (Veep) was reportedly in talks to join the film as well.
Scott has since then seemingly confirmed that he is part of the project. Production is set to happen later this year in New York as Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer is set to helm it. Venom is the first installment of Sony’s new Marvel Universe that is outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Gina Prince-Bythewood’s Silver & Black, featuring Silver Sable and Black Cat, will be the second installment of the new universe that Sony is creating. Sony recently launched the official social media accounts for Venom. So be sure to follow it on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram at @VenomMovie.
Ruben Fleischer’s Venom, starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams Jenny Slate, and Reid Scott, is set to hit theaters on October 5, 2018.
