Just a few days ago it was revealed that actress Dove Cameron had joined the cast of Agents Of SHIELD in a mystery role. But who might she be playing in the series upcoming fifth season? Well, if you came here hoping for some hints, you might be leaving disappointed as Marvel is definitely keeping this one under wraps for the time being. When asked about Cameron’s mystery role, executive producer Jed Whedon told Entertainment Weekly the following.
“Who Dove is playing is a wait and see. All I can say is we were looking at different people and she surprised us. The role she’s playing, she’s not an obvious fit for.”
Executive producer Jeff Bell also chimed in the the actress “came in and nailed it” before Whedon added that she was “perfect for the role” and that “they’re excited about it.” Well, that doesn’t give us much to go on. So we’re going to have to wait and see what they’ve got up their sleeve when the series returns this week.
