After a few weeks overseas and a week at the domestic box office, Marvel Studios Thor: Ragnarok has already become the highest grossing entry in the franchise. This weekend the Taika Waititi directed film brought in an estimated $56.6M (-54%) which brought it’s domestic total to $211M passing Thor: The Dark World‘s $206M. It’s not only the biggest Thor film domestically but worldwide with a worldwide cume of $650.1M
Overseas the film currently has a global cume of $438.5M which puts it past both Wonder Woman ($409.2M) and Logan ($390.5M). Next up? The film is closing in on the overseas total of the Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 ($473.8M) which it will likely surpass in the next week. Will it also have strong enough legs in the coming weeks to surpass Spider-Man: Homecoming ($545M) as well overseas? Be sure to check back for further updates.
