Dan Stevens Briefly Teases How Second Season Of Legion Will Differ From First

To say that Legion, the first of Fox’s X-Men televsion projects, was a bit of an unpredictable ride might be an understatement. Showrunner Noah Hawley delivered a series that was unlike anything else being put out by Marvel & DC currently and left fans definitely wanting more. The series was renewed shortly after wrapping up it’s first season. We short after learned that the series had added Saïd Taghmaoui as the seaon’s villain and moved production from Vancouver to California.

Details regarding the upcoming second season have remained under wraps and we haven’t learned much since their Comic-Con Panel. However, we now have a small tease of what to expect from series star Dan Stevens. While he didn’t give much away, chatting with Collider, Stevens did briefly comment on next season and how it will differ from the first.

It’s nice to have a little bit of groundwork because going into that first season, we didn’t know what to expect. Nobody did. There’s not really been a show like it. It’s nice to have a little bit of bedrock now. I hope it’s even weirder and more wonderful than the first season is. I’m really enjoying it.

When asked if the series would follow a traditional “big bad” format in the second season, Stevens stated that the “words “traditional format” don’t really apply to Legion”. Can’t argue with that at all. What are you hoping to see in the second season of Legion? Or are you like me and just setting zero expectations currently? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments section below.

Legion is set to return on FX Early 2018.
