The upcoming Titans series is less than two weeks away from starting production in Toronto, Canada. While most of the principal characters have been cast, some smaller roles are still being filled out.
It appears that we’ll be seeing Dick Grayson’s (Brenton Thwaites) parents. In an audition tape from Tim Campbell (Hollywoodland, Warehouse 13), the actor is reading for the role of “Ben Crossland”.
For those who may remember, Dick’s cover name in auditions was “John Crossland” and the tape even shows a young “John” a.k.a. Dick. The tape features a conversation between the three Graysons in what appears to be a few minutes before a singing act, which is clearly a cover for “circus act”.
This is most likely for flashbacks from Dick’s childhood to offer more background on his character. In the DC lore, his parents tragically die during a trapeze routine thanks to the villainous Tony Zucco.
