Freeform’s upcoming Marvel comic book drama Cloak & Dagger has added a few new cast members. Ally Maki (Wrecked) and Emma Lahana (Hellcats) both recently revealed that they will be showing up in Freeform’s upcoming young adult drama based on the Marvel characters.
Maki revealed on her Instagram page just a few days ago how excited she was to join Cloak & Dagger while sharing a picture with the cast and team from the Freeform Summitt. She only describes the character as a “really special role” that will most likely be recurring.
Lahana shared on Twitter how stoked she was to be joining the series. Like Maki, she couldn’t reveal who she is playing other than that she hopes that fans will love the character as much as she does.
Couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of the @Marvel universe! I can’t give you guys the details of my character just yet 😉 but I hope you love her as much as I do. https://t.co/0KkaRreVHJ

“Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger” is an adaptation of the beloved Marvel characters whose story is aimed squarely at young adults. This live-action interracial romance follows Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson, two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart — but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.”
Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, starring Aubrey Joseph as Ty Johnson/Cloak and Olivia Holt as Tandy Bowen/Dagger. premieres with a two-hour debut on Thursday, June 7 at 8 PM on Freeform.
