The two title characters of Ant-Man and the Wasp suit up in a new trailer released today.
Following the events of Captain America: Civil War, it looks like Scott Lang aka Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) is still on the run, this time rejoining Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas).
In the brand new full-length trailer we see plenty of action from both superheroes. Ant-Man and the Wasp fight off their would-be captors using shrinking and enlarging technology, including a counter-attack using a Pez dispenser. The trailer also shows the Wasp literally dodging knives thanks to her shrinking abilities.

We also get a glimpse of new villain Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) showing off her phasing abilities. She appears in a scene with another new character, scientist Dr. Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne).
Heroics aren’t the only thing on Scott’s mind though, as we also see his daughter Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson) in the trailer after Scott laments how he continues to let down the people he loves. This ties back to the official movie synopsis from Marvel which puts an emphasis on both parts of Scott’s life:
In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
Absent from this trailer though are Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the original Wasp who will return from the Quantum Realm this installment and Luis (Michael Peña), who served as Scott’s hilarious sidekick during the last film.
Ant-Man and The Wasp is directed by Peyton Reed. The film opens in theaters on July 6, 2018.
