A new trailer for the second season of Jessica Jones was released to the public today. Can we say, about time?! While many Netflix shows have pushed for a second season, as well as The Defenders, Jessica Jones seems to have blended into the background. But now she’s back in this trailer, and it looks like the second season will be just as good as the first. Catch the new footage below.

Off the bat, one of the most interesting things about the trailer is that it doesn’t use much footage that we haven’t already seen. It could be that they’re trying to keep viewers as out of the know as possible. However, there is one thing that will make fans excited. We already knew that Kilgrave was back, somehow. Whether it’s in Jessica’s head, or he somehow escaped death, we won’t know.
But at the end of the trailer, you saw the inevitable purple light come around Jessica, and it looks like that could mean that Kilgrave will have a continuous role in the second season. Not to mention that it looks like Jessica has figured out she had experiments done on her. We’re definitely going to find a more informed, but still just as angry as she was in season one.
Jessica Jones is a hard-drinking, short-fuse, mess of a woman who is just trying to make a living as a Private Investigator in New York City. She’s super strong but is haunted by a dark past that keeps her from truly becoming a hero.
