A Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur TV series has been announced to be in development by Marvel Television! It will be an animated series produced by actor/producer Lawrence Fishbourne and Helen Sugland for the Disney channel. The news comes via Deadline.
“Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur follows the adventures of nine-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette, an African-American girl who teams up with her crimson-colored dinosaur and uses her smarts to save the day.”
The project is still currently in development stages and has yet to be decided on which Disney Channel the show will air at, between Disney Channel, Disney XD or Disney Junior, should the series be picked up. A number of animated projects from Marvel TV is currently in the works as well.
Donald Glover has his untitled Deadpool animated series coming to FXX sometime this year which he is writing and producing. In addition to that, Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors, an animated film, is set to come out this year starring several bad-ass female Marvel heroes coming together.
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is one of my personal favorite Marvel books. Are you excited to see Luna get her own animated series? Is there another Marvel book you’d like to see as an animated series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
