#SHIELD100: Fan Favorite Characters On Agents of SHIELD

Our Heroes

Maggie H.

I liked Jeffrey Mace from the moment he’d greeted Coulson with “Phillip!” and a big smile, but I started rooting for him one hundred percent after his scene with Coulson at the end of 4×10, “The Patriot”. He chose to be a symbol for Inhuman justice, and even as truths were revealed, that passion did not change. Jeffrey Mace took on the image of the Patriot by accident, by false pretense, but he became the Patriot because of his heart. His statement to Coulson about his belief in Inhuman rights, and wanting to use his position of authority to help end the hate, was powerful.
I loved Mace’s bonding moment with Daisy during the Senate hearing (4×11). Even though they didn’t agree with one another’s choices, they respect intent, and gave one another a second chance. (If there’s one thing I wish for, it would be more Daisy and Mace scenes. What a fascinating dynamic.)
Mace was passionate about doing the right thing, and about protecting anyone who needed it. Many times, he was willing to sacrifice himself for his team, and he eventually did – dying as the hero that he truly was.
In a world of turmoil, Jeffrey Mace teaches us to stand up for what is right, even if we’re not as powerful or strong as others around us. He teaches us that even one single act of goodness can change everything. We can all be a symbol of goodness and hope. Even flawed, we can all be heroes — and that is why Jeffrey Mace is my favorite SHIELD character, and my hero.

Yo-Yo

SHIELD

Miranda

Hi my name is Miranda and I’m 18 years old. As a Mexican girl, I have always felt like I couldn’t relate to any character from any movie or TV show. My favorite thing about Agents of SHIELD is that it celebrates diversity. The simple fact that Natalia Cordova, a Mexican actress, is part of the show makes me feel so proud and empowered.  I now believe that us Mexicans/Latinos/Hispanos can make it [in] Hollywood.

Ps: As for my favorite moments of the show, I loved the last episode of the first season. The whole Hydra fiasco, FitzSimmons at the bottom of the ocean, and Fury! Agh, I just love Fitzsimmons and I’m looking forward to their wedding!

Bobbi Morse

Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse

Sara

Bobbi was an extremely talented spy who spoke many languages, was a skilled martial artist and a great actress who could convince anyone to trust her. Yet she was also an incredible friend who covered for Fitz when he was trying to find Simmons, delivering Daisy a care package and reassuring her she was a rock star not a leaper and giving Simmons advice when she was apprehensive about talking to Fitz. Even when she was on the side of the Real Shield she still tried to protect Daisy and did not want anyone from the team to get hurt.
