Kate Kane is jumping from the comic pages on to the small screen this fall on The CW as Batwoman is coming to live-action! At the CW upfronts today, it was announced that Batwoman will be joining the massive Arrowverse crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow for the big 4-show event that will air in December. Arrow’s Stephen Amell and CW president Mark Pedowitz made the announcement during the CW presentation.
With the introduction of Batwoman comes also the introduction of Gotham City! Gotham has been mentioned a few times in the Arrowverse, one time was in the Supergirl season 2 premiere while Oliver Queen in last season of Arrow namedropped the city as well as Bruce Wayne. It remains to be seen whether or not the introduction of Batwoman means that we will actually get to see Batman himself at some point. But this is still a major deal for the Arrwoverse as this will be the first time we see a major Bat-character from the Bat-Family be introduced.
