Big news has just come in for the upcoming Scarlet Witch and Vision series for Disney+! The Hollywood Reporter broke the news today that Jac Schaeffer is set to write and executive produce the Marvel Studios based series for the upcoming Disney streaming service!
Schaeffer may sound familiar to the Marvel fans as she co-wrote the upcoming and highly anticipated Captain Marvel film starring Brie Larson. In addition to that, she also penned the script for the Black Widow movie that is in the works, starring Scarlett Johansson, with Cate Shortland helming the film.
Scarlet Witch and Vision is just one of the several series that is currently in works for Disney+. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are set to reprise their roles as Sam Wilson/the Falcon and Bucky Barnes/the Winter Soldier in their own spin-off show, with a Loki show starring Tom Hiddleston back as the fan-favorite Thor baddie, also in the works.
Kevin Feige, who has been godfathering the Marvel Cinematic Universe for over 10 years, will be executive producing all the shows that are being created for the new platform. Despite being television shows, they will not be under the traditional Marvel TV banner which includes Agents of SHIELD, Runaways, Cloak & Dagger, The Gifted and more.
