Kevin Smith to Host Stan Lee Tribute

Kevin Smith has announced he would be hosting a public tribute for the comic legend, Stan Lee and now we have more details on the momentous event.

When the comic book world lost our beloved Generalissimo in November, fans all over the world were devastated. Countless tributes are still being held 2 months after his passing but perhaps the biggest one comes from one of cinema’s most acclaimed figures: director, Kevin Smith. It is no secret Smith was a close friend of Lee’s and held him in high regard. Smith’s tribute will be open to the public and also include many other pop culture icons making an appearance to honor Stan Lee.

The tribute will include musical performances, celebrity guest speakers, a presentation of select props relating to Stan Lee’s career and numerous cameos, and an art exhibit by Rob Prior. Some of the celebrity guests set to appear are RZA, Vincent D’Onofrio, Mark Hamill, Rob Liefeld, and many more.

The tribute will take place on January 30, and last from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The event is open to the public and will take place at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre with tickets priced at $150 for the “Adamantium Fan Pass” and $200 for the “Vibranium Fan Pass.” The “Vibranium Fan Pass” (now sold out) will allow attendees a preferential red carpet arrival experience.
