There has been a lot a lot of buzz about who is going to host the Oscars this year due to losing the original host. It looks like the Oscars producers have a plan to assemble The Avengers! News comes via The Hollywood Reporter.
ABC, the network that the Oscars always airs on, is the child company of Disney. It absolutely makes sense that the producers of the Oscars are looking to The Avengers. Not only has the Avengers cast grew since the 2012 release, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown in popularity as well.
However, the producers of the Oscars have yet to comment on any specific details on who exactly from the Avengers line up or the MCU in general that will be a part of this year’s Oscars.
With the Oscars airing February 24th this year, it will be two months before Avengers: Endgame is released and just two weeks before the upcoming first solo female MCU film, Captain Marvel, is released. Sounds like a pretty great marketing strategy to me.
Which of the Avengers or MCU stars would you like to see be a part of the 2019 Oscars? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Endgame will be in theaters April 26th.
