Fans of ABC’s long-running Marvel spy drama Agents of SHIELD got quite surprised when, months ahead of the Season 6 premiere, the show got renewed for 7th Season that will air in the 2020-2021 TV Season. According to Phil Coulson himself, Clark Gregg, in an interview with Den of Geek for a Captain Marvel press junket, the actor states that it is very likely that Season 7 will mark as the conclusion of the series. While Gregg doesn’t say that it’s set in stone for the series to end after Season 7, it appears that it might be a strong possibility.
“That’s the word I’ve heard. The announcement I read
was, two more seasons, six and seven. [I] really doesn’t know much about [Season 7 just yet.] I can’t wait for people to see Season 6. People who have been on the journey with me and with Phil Coulson are going to get something very, very different.”
As Gregg said it himself, he doesn’t know a lot about what’s in store for Season 7, so only time will tell whether or not we’ll see Agents of SHIELD end in the 2020-2021 TV season. But for now, get ready for Season 6 by catching the previously released special look for the new season below.
