The Marvel television shows that will be appearing on the Disney+ streaming service have now been confirmed to connect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This news comes from Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige.
Since Disney announced their Disney+ streaming service, they’ve given Marvel fans a peek at some of the shows they can expect to see. Some of these shows include Loki, with Tom Hiddleston reprising his MCU trickster role, and The Vision and Scarlet Witch with Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olson stepping back into their roles.
Feige is now confirming that these shows, unlike their Netflix predecessors, will tie directly into the MCU, stating that, “These will be Marvel Studios productions…They will be entirely interwoven with both the current MCU, the past MCU, and the future of the MCU.”
Although the new Disney+ shows will be directly linked to the Marvel films, there is no guarantee of when the shows will be taking place. For instance, Loki met his demise in Avengers: Infinity War. As for the other television shows, they will most likely not follow immediately after the events of Avengers: Infinity War or Endgame, but we’ll have to wait and see as more announcements roll out. Many of the shows that will be coming to Disney+ are still largely unknown.
The highly anticipated Captain Marvel will soon be in theaters on March 8. Avengers: Endgame will be in theaters on April 26 while Spider-Man: Far From Home will swing into theaters on July 5.
