A Hawkeye series is in the works for Disney+ per Variety! As one of the fan-favorite Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a Clint Barton project is a long-time coming, as the Marvelous Archer has been part of the live-action franchise since Thor and The Avengers in 2011 and 2012.
But there is more good news to be shared as the show will center around Clint passing on the torch as Hawkeye to Kate Bishop. No executive producer or writer is currently attached to the show. This is one of several Marvel series that are in the works for the upcoming Disney streaming service, with Marvel Studios personally producing the shows.
Previously, we learned that Loki will be the first Marvel Studios series to come to Disney+, with Tom Hiddleston set to reprise the character. Michael Waldron (Rick and Morty) will officially be the showrunner of the series.
After that, a Scarlet Witch and Vision series along with a Winter Soldier/Falcon show coming, with Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Sebastian Stan, and Anthony Mackie all reprising their characters respectively. No dates for those projects have been revealed yet.
The shows are expected to have a total of 6-8 episodes in their respective seasons, which will most likely be the case for Hawkeye too. More details will hopefully emerge about all the respective shows after the release of Avengers: Endgame, with Renner reprising the iconic hero.
