1. Trick Shot
Who could beat out a mentor and frienemy you ask? Well, none other than Clint’s nemesis and brother. His name is Barney Barton. He’s basically an evil Clint. He is an excellent archer like Clint but also has FBI and Army training. In the comics, Clint started off as a petty crook but repented and became the hero we know and love. Barney stayed down that dark path. He is the biggest character out there that can be classified as a Clint specific villain. They need to include him in the show, even if he isn’t the show’s big bad. Also, for those that don’t know, Barney took the codename from the other man who trained Clint and Barney, Trick Shot. In the comics, Trick Shot died and Barney took up the name. This is another place I feel the show could take liberties with and expand his character. The original Trick Shot died of cancer, but I could easily see them changing it to Barney killing him. This could easily lead to Swordsman coming back in Clint’s life to warn him about Barney, which could be the overarching plot of the show.
And there is my list of today. These were some of the characters I’d like to see in the Hawkeye show. I’d be happy if all or at least one of them showed up on the series. I’m just honestly glad Hawkeye is getting some well-deserved spotlight.
