Superman: Red Son Cast Picks DCTV Shows To Guest Star In

Superman: Red Son is filled to the brim with talented actors playing new and exciting versions of iconic DC characters. Whether it be Jimmy Olsen as a military officer, Lois Lane as the wife of Lex Luthor, or of course Superman himself as the symbol of the Soviet Union – we’re not in Kansas anymore, Toto.

But many of these fabulous voice actors would be just as powerful if they were onscreen themselves in a live-action role. Therefore, DCTV Podcasts took the time to ask the cast members which live-action comic book show they’d love to guest star in. Check out their responses below:

Amy Acker (Lois Lane): Who should I be? Tell me, I don’t know! I wouldn’t mind being [another universe’s] Lois, but now I feel like I need to be someone else. I got to play the Huntress before, so getting to do a live-action Huntress would be pretty awesome.

Vanessa Marshall (Wonder Woman): I would love to be anywhere near Batwoman. She’s awesome.

Jason Isaacs (Superman): Oh, I’ve always loved Daredevil. I’m a huge Daredevil fan, and I thought it was brilliantly done by Charlie Cox. So, I’m not sure I want to step into those shoes. But when I was a kid, I wanted to be Daredevil, mostly because he didn’t have any magic super powers. He taught himself through his sixth sense, because he was blind, to navigate the world. Which I tried to do at home as I destroyed all the furniture and all the crockery my house.

Daredevil may not be a DC show, but we’ll make an exception because what Superman deserves to get what he wants.

Roger Craig Smith (Batman): Let’s go Gotham. Since I’m five foot five and they’re not gonna consider me for Batman I’ll go Bat-Mite. I might be arguing more for the animated world, but I’ll go Bat-Mite.

Sasha Roiz (Green Lantern): At this point, I’d be happy to be any of them. I’m such a fan, and it’s so fun to get inside the shoes of these iconic characters. So, honestly, there’s none I’d say no to.

Travis Willingham (Superior Man): Boy, that is a good question. I love The Flash, and I watched all of Arrow, so it’s got to be in one of those two universes. Crisis on Infinite Earths was really doing some good stuff for me, so let’s say Crisis and I would be Superior Man in it.

Another special circumstance occurred, because the great Phil Morris has already graced our streaming platforms as Silas Stone on Doom Patrol. He was therefore kind enough to tease fans with a glimpse of the father-son dynamic awaiting us when he does indeed return to his DCTV post in Season 2.

Phil Morris (Jimmy Olsen): In the first season, we did a lot of backstory to catch everybody up. Now, we can go forward. Vic and Silas’ relationship is better. It’s still a little hunt and peck. They’re still trying to figure each other out, especially Vic trying to figure out Silas. But they’re much more empathic with each other than they were in the first season.

Superman: Red Son is currently available digitally, and both the Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD versions will be released on March 17, 2020.
