Hulu announced today during its annual NewFronts presentation that Helstrom will premiere later this year as a part of the streaming service’s “Huluween” programming.
The show, created by Paul Zbyszewski, will feature the Marvel characters Daimon and Ana Helstrom (Satana in the comics).
In the comics, Daimon and Ana are the children of a demon though the show describes them as “the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer.”
The show wrapped filming earlier this year and the season is expected to include 10 episodes.
Originally Hulu announced a Ghost Rider live-action show to be a part of the same Marvel horror universe as Helstrom, but it was later scrapped.
With Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airing its final season, Helstrom will be the only live-action Marvel show not under the Disney Plus banner.
Helstrom stars Tom Austen (Daimon Helstrom), Sydney Lemmon (Ana Helstrom), Elizabeth Marvel (Victoria Helstrom), Robert Wisdom (Caretaker), June Carryl (Dr. Louise Hastings), Ariana Guerra (Gabriella Rosetti), and Alain Uy (Chris Yen).
