There’s more news on the Doctor Strange front this week. Actress Xochitl Gomez is set to join Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, according to a report from Deadline.
Gomez is best known for her breakout performance as Dawn in Netflix’s 2020 series The Babysitter’s Club.
Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, and Chiwetel Ejiofor are all set to reprise their roles from the first film. Also joining for the sequel is Elizabeth Olsen in her role as Wanda Maximoff.
Sam Raimi is set to direct. The plot of the film has been kept tightly under wraps, though it’s been revealed the events of the upcoming series WandaVision will tie into the movie.
Production is set to begin after Cumberbatch wraps his role in the next Spider-Man sequel.
Marvel did not comment on the story.
