The Marvel Cinematic Universe has come a long way since they began in 2008 with Iron Man kicking everything off. Even though 2020 was a strange year for the whole world, Phase 4 is slowly kicking off through Marvel Studios’ original Disney+ show, as they get ready to kick off the Phase 4 films, starting with Black Widow later this year. To celebrate what is to come, Marvel Studios unveiled a celebratory presentation, including footage for Eternals as well as official titles for the Captain Marvel and Black Panther sequels, amongst much more!
So to easier break this down, here’s everything that “Celebrates The Movies” revealed to us. besides Black Widow and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings:
- Spider-Man: No Way Home is still on track for their December 17, 2021 release date.
- Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness will kick off Marvel Studios’ slate next year on March 25, 2022.
- Thor: Love and Thunder will start the summer season for the MCU on May 6, 2022.
- Black Panther 2 is officially titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is slated for July 8, 2022.
- Captain Marvel 2 is officially going to be called The Marvels, featuring Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau, hitting theaters on November 11, 2022.
- Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will kick off MCU’s 2023 slate on February 17.
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is officially coming out on May 5, 2023.
Last, but certainly not least, Jon Watts’ Fantastic Four is still coming, with the trailer alluding to it possibly coming out in 2023, but that has yet to be confirmed. While the pandemic definitely delayed a lot for the MCU fandom, the wait will be worth it as Marvel Studios have so much in store with Phase 4 and beyond!
