Nova fans can expect the hero to be joining the MCU soon, according to a report from Deadline. Marvel is developing a project around the character, though whether it will be a film or show is unknown.
The project will be written by Sabir Pirzada who also worked on Moon Knight. In addition to Moon Knight, Pirzada has also worked on Roswell, New Mexico and Person of Interest.
The original Nova Richard Rider was a member of the Nova Corps and gained his superhuman powers from the Nova Force. The Nova Corps were previously seen in the MCU in Guardians of the Galaxy, though Nova did not appear.
The character first appeared in Marvel Comics in The Man Called Nova #1 (Sept 1976), written by Marv Wolfman and drawn by John Buscema, and was created by Wolfman and John Romita Sr.
