The Parasites are taking over! Time to recap and review another stellar Superman issue, with amazing art by Jamal Campbell, the fantastic artist who did Far Sector and Naomi, Seasons One and Two. “Dawn of DC” has been an impressive mini-era for DC so far and Superman volume 6 is a big reason why.
Recap:
We left off with the Superfamily fighting off a horde of Parasites. Lois and the rest of the Daily Planet staff have succumbed to the Parasite infection. Superman does too, but fights it off long enough to grab Lex Luthor and Livewire for assistance. His plan to stop Parasite eventually works and we got some cute Clark and Lois moments, as well as a brief family-at-home moment.
Superman goes to see Lex and while still unconvinced Lex is trying to help, he gives him a watch to contact him, signaling a change in their tense relationship. This SuperCorp concept continues to evolve, while we get a glimpse of characters plotting nefarious things at the end.
Review:
I have no complaints (so far) about this new Superman series. Itâs fun, itâs beautifully drawn and itâs filled with great family scenes and fights with classic Superman villains.
I love how each character is written full of personality and vibrance and I think the artwork helps convey that a lot. Lois is written particularly great in this book, with a kind of unhinged girlboss energy I find endearing. Iâm just having a blast immersing myself in the city of tomorrow and canât wait to see what else this series brings. Superman stans are eating well lately!

SUPERMANâS LOVED ONES ARE TRANSFORMED INTO RAVENOUS PARASITES! If Superman wants to find Parasite-Zero before its influence spreads to the whole world, he must take Lex up on his offer to work together! Even if it means using another of Supermanâs enemies as bait!
