Marvel Studios returned to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday July 27, 2024. The panel included updates on Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, as well the next two Avengers movies (Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars).

Deadpool & Wolverine
Although the movie got its own panel and screening earlier in the week, it was still represented by a Deadpool and Wolverine themed chorus singing “Like a Prayer” by Madonna. Check out a clip here:
Captain America: Brave New World
For the film Marvel Studios brought out cast members Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Giancarlo Esposito, and Tim Blake Nelson. It was confirmed during the panel that Esposito will be planning the villain Sidewinder, who is King of the Serpent Society.
After showing new footage that introduced adamantium, the island left behind by Tiamut the Celestial from Eternals, and Red Hulk (!), Harrison Ford joined the stage. Ford is playing Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and Red Hulk in the film.
Thunderbolts*
The Thunderbolts* cast (including David Harbour in costume) joined the stage next. Kevin Feige stills refuses to explain the asterisk in the title, confirming he either failed elementary school English class or still has a secret up his sleeve.
Marvel Studios newcomer Lewis Pullman reveals his character is named Bob, not to be confused with character Bob from Top Gun: Maverick. It’s heavily speculated Bob is Robert “Bob” Reynolds/ Sentry.
Fans were treated to the first look at the trailer which shows the Thunderbolts assembling as a team.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Director Matt Shakman joined the stage and confirmed the film will take place in a “retro-futuristic 60s,” making it Marvel Studios first period piece since Captain America: The First Avenger.
The film is officially titled The Fantastic Four: First Steps and will release July 25, 2025 Early footage shown to attendees reveals Galactus as the film’s villain.
Cast members Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach later joined the panel as well as the Fantasti-car itself!
If you’re worried one film isn’t enough to satify your Pedro thirst you can relax, Feige confirmed the Fantastic Four will return for the next two Avengers movies.
Avengers:Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars
MCU favorites the Russo Brothers are returning to direct Avengers: Secret Wars, set to hit theaters in May 2027. The movie will be preceded by Avengers: Doomsday in May 2026… STARRING ROBERT DOWNEY JR AS DOCTOR DOOM.
