SDCC 2025: Interview with the Vampire and Talamasca Panel Recap

AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe brought two panels to Balroom 20 for the new series Talamasca and new season of Interview with the Vampire.

The Talamasca panel included Executive Producer Mark Johnson, Showrunners and Executive Producers John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty; and series stars Nicholas Denton  William Fichtner, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Celine Buckens.

In addition to introducing the characters from the show and premiering the season trailer the panel also had one big surprise in store: Eric Bogosian will be appearing in the season as vampire Daniel Malloy.

As teased in the panel, the show will overlap with the rest of the Immortal Universe as all the shows are connected in natural ways.

The panel was followed by a panel with the cast and producers of Interview With the Vampire

Or should we say, The Vampire Lestat. The biggest news to come out of the panel is that season 3 of the show will officially be called The Vampire Lestat after the book of the same name.

The panel included Executive Producer Mark Johnson, who oversees the Anne Rice Immortal Universe; showrunner and Executive Producer Rolin Jones; composer Daniel Hart; and cast members Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson  and Eric Bogosian, who discussed the new season.

LouStat fans don’t have to worry though, we will still see Louis this season as he deals with the fallout of the release of Daniel’s book and his rekindling with Lestat.

Do the lovers make it this time? Well that’s yet to be seen based on the exclusive footage shown to attendees where the two appear to be in a mediation session and squabbling over past arguments.

Although fans at home can’t see the new footage they can see the behind the scenes teaser shared during the panel.

The panel also confirmed some important casting news including the return of Delainey Hayles in an undisclosed role and Assad Zaman as Armand. Joining the show are Jennifer Ehle as Gabriella, Ella Ballentine as Baby Jenks, Jeanine Serralles as Christine Claire, Christopher Heyerdahl as Marius, and Damien Atkins as Magnus.

The panel closed with a special performance from Hart who performed “The Loneliness” which he created for the upcoming season.

Talamasca premieres on AMC on October 26. The Vampire Lestat premieres in 2026.
