SDCC 2025: Percy Jackson and the Olympians Hall H Panel Recap

San Diego Comic-Con turned into Camp Half-Blood with a Hall H panel for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2. Moderated by actor Timothy Simons who plays Tantalus in Season 2, the panel included cast members Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood), Charlie Bushnell (Luke Castellan), Dior Goodjohn (Clarisse La Rue) and Daniel Diemer (Tyson) alongside executive producers Jonathan E. Steinberg, Dan Shotz and Craig Silverstein

According to Shotz, fans can expect a supersized Season 2 that will follow Percy going on a new quest to rescue his captured friend Grover and save Camp Half-Blood by finding the Golden Fleece.

For the cast, returning to filming felt like coming home.

“It turns into playing around and playing dress up with your family,” said Jeffries.

That said, this season won’t be easy for the characters. Annabeth will deal with the fallout of Luke’s betrayal while Grover has to learn to be on his own when he’s separated from the group.

It seems like the cast had plenty of fun filming Season 2 though, with many citing the stunts they got to do this season as their favorite. Some of those stunts will take place on the ship the Ironclad as the heroes hit the seas to search for Grover.

Fans in the panel were treated to an exclusive behind the scenes look at Grover’s “dress fitting” for Season 2, but will have to tune in to see the final look. The panel also premiered the Season 2 trailer where we got our first look at cyclops Tyson.

The trailer, featuring a voiceover from Poseidon teasing a coming war, also features an action packed look at the aftermath of the highly-anticipated chariot race and sea-monster Scylla.

The cast also shared some fun filming anecdotes that fans are hoping to see videos of, including Simhadri getting “proposed to,” and Scobell and Diemer acting out the Titanic to a live performance of “My Heart Will Go On.”

The panel ended with a special video message from author and executive producer Rick Riordan who announced a December 10 release date for Season 2 and some very important casting news. Actors Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie will be joining as fan favorite character Nico and Bianca Di Angelo.
