A significant part of the Michael marketing involved the creative team behind other projects. Antoine Fuqua directed the film, most famously known for his film Training Day. The film was produced by Graham King, who produced Bohemian Rhapsody. The production of Michael was not nearly as tumultuous as the Queen biopic.
