Hell’s Kitchen is getting bigger, adding a few new men and women to the mix. Amid the reveal of the first fantastic Doctor Strange Images, Entertainment Weekly has debuted the first official images of Daredevil Season 2. Featuring new cast members Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle and Elodie Yung as Elektra the volatile love interest for daredevil – Hell’s Kitchen is turning out to be the place to be in Daredevil. With Jessica Jones taking the fall by storm and Luke Cage on the horizon, Daredevil season 2 has a lot to live up to. In these new images from Entertainment Weekly it looks like it’s more then up to snuff.
Collider calls Bernthal’s Punisher a pretty “mean-looking” punisher and the entertainment weekly article delivers. Castle’s mission is described as the same as Daredevil’s, but instead of using fisticuffs he, “Uses guns and simply kills every criminal he sees.” Yowza. The moral implications of a gun toting vigilante in today’s political climate aren’t lost on the showrunners either. The article promises that while the audience will be rooting for a gun-toting vigilante their aim is to make us question ourselves and make ourselves think. Frank Castle’s controversial antihero is always a hot topic for discussion and given that Daredevil started Netflix’s winning streak who knows where this might end up? The gun I get, Frank, but what’s the wrench for?
On the opposing side of the coin we have Elektra who was briefly mentioned in Daredevil season 1. Elektra is described as a love interest, and a “crucial” part of season two. While we’ve seen Elodie Young with her mask on, these first official photos detail her with the mask off. Elektra and Daredevil are a key part of the daredevil comics, we’re certainly excited to see what’s coming.

Quite a change from the photos we’ve seen so far of Elektra’s iconic outfit. Either way, with the addition of these characters to daredevil season 2, Jessica Jones, and the possibility of a Luke Cage cameo Hell’s Kitchen seems to be the must-visit destination for the Cinematic Universe. It’s important not to miss the traditional cast of characters who live and work with Matt. The last photo and our personal favorite is this one with Karen Page and Matt enjoying a game of pool. Knowing how these things work, it seems like they’ll be a winner. Just like Daredevil, and Daredevil Season 2.
