As Avengers: Infinity War moves towards production later this year in Atlanta, more news about the cast and details surrounding the film are starting to come to light.
Get ready for this, TMR fans; The Winter Soldier will be in Infinity War! That’s right, Sebastian Stan is officially confirmed to be joining the film. (cue your end of the line jokes here) The confirmation comes via our friends at THR, in a casting report for Stan’s new film, We Have Always Lived in the Castle:
Stan is coming off of Captain America: Civil War, one of the year’s more acclaimed movies that has grossed over $1.1 billion worldwide. The actor, who recently wrapped the indie I’m Not Here with Maika Monroe and J.K. Simmons, will shoot Avengers: Infinity War early next year.
When we last saw Winter Soldier, he was seen being frozen in the African kingdom of Wakanda under the care of Black Panther himself, T’Challa following the events of Captain America: Civil War.
What we don’t know is if Winter Soldier will make his presence known in Black Panther solo film, directed by Ryan Coogler. Given his current state in Wakanda, it would only make sense. But as we know Marvel fans, anything is possible in the MCU!
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018 from a script by Marvel Studios vets Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther will hit screens February 16, 2018.
