Just when we thought the cast for Spider-Man: Homecoming was at it’s peak Marvel and Sony surprise us once again as they are reportedly bringing in The Tinkerer. According to Comic Book Resources, Michael Chernus will be taking on the classic villain role. Alongside the rumored casting of Michael Keaton as Vulture, this will be the second villain cast for the upcoming film.
Michael ChernusNow who exactly is The Tinkerer? Well he’s just an ordinary man with a knack for building machines and was first met by the beloved web slinger with many more run-ins with other heroes throughout his history.
Chernus is also known for his work on Bourne Legacy, Orange is the New Black and WGN America’s Manhattan.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming; starring Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya and much more, will swing into theaters July 7, 2017.
