According to Variety.com, Jon Favreau will reprise his role as Happy Hogan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel and Sony had no comment on the news. The picture is currently filming in Atlanta with a cast that includes Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Zendaya as Mary Jane Watson, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark.
Fans will remember Jon Favreau as director of the first and second iron man films. His last appearance as Happy was Iron Man 3. After serving as an executive producer on Avengers 1 he worked with Robert Downey Jr on multiple Independent films including Chef.
He most recently directed The Jungle Book for Disney.
