Fox is getting closer to picking pilots for the 2017-2018 lineup, and one of the pilots that they’re eyeing is the X-Men drama pilot. The pilot script is written by Matt Nix, most known for his work on Burn Notice. The untitled X-Men pilot script’s earlier versions were all well received at Fox.
The pilot will be produced by Nix, Bryan Singer, Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory, Lauren Shouler Donner, and Simon Kinberg. The details below is currently what we know about the plot of the show:
The untitled series, which had a put pilot commitment, focuses on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The show appears particularly timely, dealing with the plight of minorities in society.
Though Fox is looking at more than one superhero genre pilot, doesn’t mean that the X-Men pilot will be in jeopardy. Marvel TV has yet to release any official details themselves.
Which character from the comics do you think the show will focus on? If you have an idea, leave it in the comments below!
We will continue to update on the X-Men pilot as more news come out.
