It’s a glorious day on Midgard! The first Thor: Ragnarok synopsis has been released that confirms the World War Hulk connection and teases a potential unworthy Thor storyline. Today, when the Walt Disney company released a look at it’s 2017 film slate, we got a look at the first synopsis for the highly anticipated film. Check it and the photo out below.
“In Marvel Studios’ ”Thor: Ragnarok”, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladictorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!”
‘Thor: Ragnarok” is directed by Taiki Waititi and returns Chris Hemsworth starring as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. They are joined by Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban, with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.
Kevin Feige is producing with Lous D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Thomas M. Hammel and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. The story is by Craig Kyle & Christopher Yost and Stephany Folson and the screenplay is by Eric Pearson. “Thor: Ragnarok” thunders into U.S. theaters on November 3, 2017”
Disney also released the following photo depicting director Taika Waititi and a very ready (or perhaps very confused) looking God of Thunder.
Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddelston as Loki, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Idris Elba as Heimdall, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. They are joined by newcomers Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban, and of course, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk!
