The promise of control isn’t to be taken lightly, if you’re a mutant or suffering from mental illness. Melanie Bird’s Jean Smart seems able to recognize it, but is David prepared to accept her teachings? What new mutants will be introduced in doing so – and will they have the same tragic history as Lenny and Syd?
