The Next X-Men Film May Have Found A Director and Writer

The next X-Men film may have found a director and writer. Collider reported that Simon Kinberg is in talks to direct an X-Men film and has already written a screenplay for the film. It’s speculated that the screenplay features Dark Phoenix/Jean Grey.

Simon Kinberg is no stranger to the Fox/X-Men universe. He’s written and produced several X-Men films such as X-men: Apocalypse, X-men: Days Of Future Past, X-men: The Last Stand, and Fantastic Four (2015).

Sophie Turner, who played Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse, has talked about working on an upcoming X-Men. However, it’s not been officially announced which of the upcoming X-Men films that she’s tied to.  There’s the New Mutants X-Men film rumored to be developed by director Josh Boone, and the film that Simon Kinberg is rumored to be in talks with Fox.

We’d definitely love to see a Dark Phoenix film! So hopefully that is the next film in development. As more information comes out, we’ll continue to keep you updated.
