Fox’s untitled X-Men drama casts Natalie Alyn Lind (The Goldbergs); the news broke via The Hollywood Reporter. The show will follow a family named the Stewarts who are trying to protect their mutant child from the government by hooking up with an underground network of mutants.
Natalie is set to play Lauren, the Stewarts’ daughter who is the pretty popular girl that has everything together. From her description, we’d assume she’s not the mutant child, unless her powers are a late on set.
Natalie will join Stephen Moyer, Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, and Blair Redford who have all been announced as the cast so far. The female lead has not yet been cast, or at least publicly announced.
The Fox X-Men drama’s pilot will be directed by Bryan Singer who is no stranger to X-Men characters. He’s directed a couple of the X-Men films. The show runner is Matt Nix who will serve as executive producer along side Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Jim Chory, Jeph Loeb, Lauren Shuler Donner.
