If you are a fan of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and attended Wondercon in Anaheim March 31 – April 2, there were plenty of things to keep you busy! In case you weren’t able to attend San Diego Comic Con’s “smaller” convention, The Marvel Report has you covered.
As was the case in 2016, pretty much the whole main cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. attended Wondercon – including Ming-Na Wen who injured her leg filming an episode for the show just two days earlier!
In addition to an autograph signing (which Brett Dalton did not attend) and the show panel with the cast, The Marvel Report hosted The VFX of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Held just a few hours after the main panel, in the same room (300AB), the panel was moderated by our own Shawn Richter. Panelists included Mark Kolpack (VFX Supervisor – Marvel), Sabrina Arnold (VFX Producer – Marvel), Kevin Lingenfelser (VFX Supervisor – FuseFX) and Daniel Mellitz (VFX Supervisor – CosaFX).
The panel kicked off with seven minutes of behind the scenes breakdowns of several VFX-heavy scenes from the show (not shown) and was followed by a number of questions from our moderator. A number of fans also got to ask questions about things like favorite VFX editing software, and where they can learn VFX skills.
If you attended our panel, The Marvel Report and our panelists thank you a great deal. You can follow our panelists here on Twitter:
