Agents of SHIELD Visual Effects Highlights from Season Four

Cosa VFX has released an Agents of SHIELD Visual Effects highlight reel from season four of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.  If you are a fan of the show, you  definitely won’t want to miss it.

Season four was easily the best yet, with the 22 episode journey split into three “pods” that focused on Ghost Rider, LMDs and The Framework.  This blueprint led to a more fast paced story, and The Framework pod even brought back some familiar faces that thrilled fans of the show.

In addition to having the best storytelling, season four was also the most visually intense so far.  Ghost Rider / Robbie Reyes was easily my personal favorite.  Actor Gabriel Luna’s performance as The Rider was amazing, and watching him dissolve bad guys with his Hellcharger and flaming chain made me squeal like a child.  The show’s creators truly made the Felipe Smith / Tradd Moore comic book spring to life.

The Marvel Report hosted Mark Kolpack and his VFX team from Cosa and Fuse at Wondercon.  If you’d like to learn more about the world of visual effects, you can watch the “VFX of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” panel here.

Fans were thrilled with the recent announcement that Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will return for a fifth season, in January 2018.  While I’m not a fan of the late start, I LOVE the idea of not having weeks off in between episodes (often due to the amount of time involved with visual effects, as Kolpack noted in our Wondercon panel).  Clark Gregg will even direct an episode, as outlined in our article about the season five renewal here.

I can’t wait to see what is in store for season five!
