The Marvel universe is getting bigger. According to Variety, there’s a new cast member on the horizon. Hannah John-Kamen will be joining the Marvel blockbuster Ant-Man and the Wasp in an undisclosed role, leaving people to speculate. While she could be a hero or a villainess (we’ve got some suggestions here), the plot details of Ant-Man and the Wasp remain under wraps like much of Marvel’s upcoming films.
John-Kamen is up to the challenge of joining the MCU. Originally hailing from television, the rising star is no stranger to genre projects. She’s had major roles in everything from SyFy’s hit Killjoys to Black Mirror and Game of Thrones. She’ll be in other movies too, including the hotly anticipated Ready Player One directed by Steven Spielberg as well as the Tomb Raider reboot starring Alicia Vikander. In Ant-Man and The Wasp, John-Carmen joins Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, and Michael Pena as fan favorite Luis.
The first Ant-Man film grossed $519 million worldwide and $180 million domestically. Peyton Reed is returning to direct the sequel and the script will be written by Rudd and Gabriel Ferrari with Kevin Feige producing. We’ll keep you updated on any and all Ant-Man and the Wasp news.
