Hollywood is getting ready for Black Panther in a big way and it’s safe to assume that the Wakandan King will be making a major splash, not just in entertainment but at the San Diego Comic Con. The Hollywood Reporter shared that there would be a new comic book written by veteran X-Men writer Fabian Nicieza featuring the King of Wakanda using his abilities while working with a Lexus LC 500 . It’ll debut at an invite only party featuring DJ Lulo Cafe and a “mystery” headliner. With Black Panther coming out in February of 2018 this sounds like the event of the convention and a must for convention elites!
According to Lexus, this partnership with Marvel is ideal and represents Lexus’s values, “Marvel continuously captures audiences through charismatic characters and inspiring stories — the ideal fit for Lexus’ mission to craft amazing, engaging experiences.” said Brian Bolain, general manager Lexus Marketing, ” the LC’s aggressive styling, high performance and agile handling are a perfect fit for the Black Panther’s quick, cat-like reflexes and superhuman feats. We’re excited to see the duo in action.” Marvel agreed and according to Mindy Hamilton, Marvel’s senior VP of Global Partnerships, “The partnership clicked from the get-go”
“We have this bold, sophisticated hero stepping into the spotlight for the first time, and it’s been a blast to work with the Lexus team to build out a story that’ll familiarize fans with T’Challa as well as his advanced home nation of Wakanda”
The Graphic Novel will feature work from artists Scott “Rahzzah” Wilson and Szymon Kudranski. There’s no word on when this particular story will be released (or if it will be exclusively available at the party) but start getting hyped for the King of Wakanda now, and the Lexus LC 500!
