IMAX Entertainment CEO Reveals Inhumans VFX Won’t Be Done Until Right Before It Hits Theaters

While there was a vast improvement from the first teaser to the full trailer, some of the VFX for Inhumans still looked  bit rought. While that might have been disheartening to fans looking forward to seeing the series, it’s worth noting that much of the time, VFX shots for televsion episodes aren’t completed until right before they air. This appears to also be the case when it comes to Marvel & ABC’s Inhumans. IMAX Entertainment CEO Greg Foster, while speaking with Digital Spy, revealed that he doesn’t expect Inhumans to be finished until around a week before it starts it’s two week theatrical run in September.

“My guess is it’s not really going to be finished until a week before we actually open it. When we saw it, we were excited, [but] there still are only four sequences with visual effects that are finished. There’s a lot more – we have 600 visual effects shots in the first two episodes – so the next five or six weeks are going to be a race, but it’s exciting obviously.”

There was definitely a drastic improvement in the visuals from the first teaser to the second trailer but were still a little rough. So, it seems there’s a good chance that we will be in for an even bigger visual treat upon seeing the finished product in IMAX soon. Are you excited to catch Inhumans on the big screen?
