After having played Doctor Doom in the first two Fantastic Four movies, Julian McHahon is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Variety broke the news that McHahon is joining the upcoming Marvel series Runaways which will debut on Hulu this fall. While not much was revealed about his character, McHahon will be playing the mysterious “Jonah” who will be a “pivotal player in the main characters’ rebellion against their parents.”
Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the creators and showrunners of the new series, expressed their excitement of adding McHahon to the MCU in the following statement.
“We’re incredibly excited to add Julian to our exceptional cast and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the world of Marvel’s ‘Runaways”
McHahon is also known for his previous work such as Charmed, Nip/Tuck and more. The first season will consist of ten episodes and hopefully, before we get to November, we will at least have gotten a trailer for the series.
“Every teenager thinks their parents are evil. What if you found out they actually were? “Marvel’s Runaways” is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe–their parents.”
Marvel’s Runaways, starring Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano as Nico Minoru, Virginia Gardner as Karolina Dean, Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes, Gregg Sulkin as Chase Stein and Allegra Acosta as Molly Hernandez, premieres on November 21 exclusively on Hulu.
