A new Star Wars comic book one shot from Marvel has been announced. The comic book one shot is titled: Star Wars: The Last Jedi-Storms of Crait. Though it sounds like it’s set in the new trilogy, it’s actually set during the Galactic Civil War, the original trilogy. News comes via Newsarama.
The one shot is written by Ben Acker and Ben Blacker and art by Mike Mayhew. Storms of Crait sends Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa on a mission to Crait to explore a hidden rebel base. The story will explore Crait’s history, which will connect to the appearance of Crait in the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Jordan D. White, the editor, had this to say about the upcoming one shot:
“We’re excited for the opportunity to tell this story. Tying the new sequel series in more tightly with the original trilogy era, and helping make the galaxy far away a little more fleshed out. The Bens are a great fit for Star Wars, as they showed in Join the Resistance, and Mike has done such great work on both covers and the Obi-Wan issues of the flagship Star Wars title, that we couldn’t be happier to have him back doing art for us.”
Sounds pretty awesome that they’re tying the old trilogy and new trilogy through a new comic!
Star Wars: The Last Jedi-Storms of Crait is due to be released on December 27th, twelve days after the release of the film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, on December 15th.
