While it will be opening a bit earlier in other markets overseas, Marvel Studios Thor: Ragnarok has secured a November 3rd release in China which is day and date with the domestic release. This is good news for the upcoming release as many films tend to receive later release dates in the Middle Kingdom which can lead to many simply just watching pirated copies or waiting for a disc release to see the film. The last two Marvel Studios films, while hitting theaters in China much later, did huge numbers for the studio with Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 grossing $100.6M and Spider-Man: Homecoming webbing up an additional $116M. Critics are currently raving about the Taika Waititi directed film and if audiences react the same we can definitely expect a Hulk sized opening weekend for the third installment in the Thor franchise.
