Regardless of competition at the box office, Marvel Studios Thor: Ragnarok has passed $800M at the worldwide box offfice today. This makes it the third Marvel Studios film to hit that milestone this year, joining Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 ($863M) and Spider-Man: Homecoming ($880M). This makes Ragnarok the seventh highest grossing film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This number also pushes Disney past $5B at the worldwide box office this year. While it could go higher, it’s likely that the Taika Waititi directed film will end up somewhere north of $825M when it’s all said and done. A great number considering the lukewarm reception to 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, which still ended up grossing a respectable $644.6M worldwide. How many times have you seen Ragnarok in theaters?
