The Marvel Cinematic Universe Needs An All-Female Hero Team Film

The Marvel Cinematic Universe needs all female hero team film. As the MCU progresses, we are seeing more well written female characters and more diversity, but let’s take it a step further and have an all female hero team. There’s so many great female characters to choose from, but here’s my personal list of characters I’d love to see share the screen together!

Valkyrie(Tessa Thompson)

Valkyrie made her MCU debut in Thor: Ragnarok. She is easily my favorite female character of the MCU so far. Not only would I love to see Valkyrie’s role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe expand, but I would like to see her lead a team of other badass heroines like her comic book counterpart in the series The Fearless Defenders.

Shuri (Letitia Wright)

Shuri is introduced in Black Panther and stole the movie with her wit, intelligence, and charm. She is T’challa’s younger sister who is a princess as well as being a science and tech genius.  Every team needs a tech genius to hook them up with cool gadgets and even possibly enhance their suits. Shuri is the right gal for that job, and she can also join the battle if need be.

Captain Marvel (Brie Larson)

Though Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) has not yet made her cinematic debut, I can not imagine an all female team without Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel is one of my favorite female characters from the comics, and she also happens to be one of the strongest heroes out there. Carol’s cosmic powers, military background, and girl power attitude would be essential to the team.

Mantis (Pom Klementieff)

Mantis first appears in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.2. Her abilities to influence people’s emotions and read other’s emotions would be a huge benefit to the team. Hopefully, Gamora has taught her a thing or two about fighting since her last appearance in the MCU. But I’d definitely love to see Mantis be apart of an all female team.

Okoye (Danai Gurira)

Okoye is introduced in Black Panther as the general of the Dora Milaje. She is fierce, smart, and loyal to her country. Above all, Okoye is loyal to what is right. She is an extremely skilled warrior and would be a great asset. Also, who else is gonna throw their wigs at enemies?

Gamora (Zoe Saldana)

Gamora is the assassin with a heart of gold who was introduced to us in Guardians Of The Galaxy. Despite her rough past, Gamora made the best of her situation and became a hero. Gamora a skilled warrior with a sword, and I’m dying to see her interact with Okoye and Valkyrie. Besides she needs a break from cleaning up after the rest of the Guardians.

The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly)

Hope Van Dyne was first brought to the big screen in Ant-Man. However, we won’t get to see her suit up until Ant-Man and The Wasp stings into the theaters this summer. From the trailers though, the Wasp definitely seems like a worthy heroine! Hope is a strong woman and already knew how to fight before getting her suit. She was the one who trained Scott afterall! Once she suits up, she’ll be a force to be reckoned with.

Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o)

Nakia makes her debut appearance in Black Panther. Nakia is a spy as well as a warrior. Her concerns are global; she’s fighting to make the world a better and safer place, not just her own country. She may know where the criminals like to hang out, but don’t let her knowledge of the scummy criminal underworld fool you. Her kind heart and peaceful spirit would make her an essential part of any team.

Seeing all these ladies share the screen together would be amazing. It would be equally cool to see them face off against a female villain like Amora the Enchantress. With Tessa Thompson pushing for an all female team up along with the other actresses in the MCU, hopefully it won’t be too long until we get an all female team up film in our future.
